Getting ‘Smart Casual’ Just Right For The Night!

  • Blog Post

Whether you’ve been invited to a party where the dress code is smart casual or you’ve even started a new job and the dress code is smart casual, it can drive both men and women to distraction trying to find the perfect solution. You don’t want to look like your going to a cool bar and trying too hard but on the same hand you don’t want to look like your going to the local park.

Smart casual can be incredibly sexy and far more comfortable than full on glam. The best thing about smart casual is that you can rock your favourite jeans without feeling underdressed!

The secret behind a cool and sexy jeans combo is your choice of top, jewellery and shoes.

Heels can completely change your look and take your outfit go from day to evening in a second.

Add a cool blazer and you could go anywhere and look fabulous.

Definitely my favourite kind of an outfit as you can see below!

Suzanne’s Strip Top – TopShop
Michelle: Top from Zara, jeans from Reiss

For a bolder look you can ditch the denim and opt for leather jeans or trousers to make your outfit fiercer.

Leather Trousers from Rag & Bone

And again your choice of top is of the utmost important. If you want to tone the look down and not look too ‘rock chick’ then go for a kitten heel rather than a stiletto or a chunky boot. By adding a soft jacket will keep the look sexy and pull the outfit together.

Armani Exchange Zipper Pocket Blazer

The ‘cold shoulder’ is still big for Spring/Summer and adds an immediate sexy look. Just make sure your showing the best part of your shoulder or arm.

Armani Pop Stripe Halter

The shirt has really taken on a life of its own this season. Whilst ‘Sacai’ is a fabulous brand with mouth watering designs, £750 may be a little steep for some. SO check out the high street for other more affordable options that’s still give you that fresh, clean sky blue feeling!

Mix a white feminine blouse with white skinnies or boyfriend jeans, throw on a light blue denim jacket and bright kitten heels and your good to go!
