The Best Of The Met Gala 2019

  • Blog Post

To all the red carpet fashion lovers out there, here are some of the best and most extrovert looks from the Met Gala 2019. Whether the theme “Camp” is something you take inspiration from, or even a bit of eye candy, everybody wants to know who was best dressed. With the theme being “Camp”, this year we are looking out for the most bold, extraordinary looks on the carpet.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

First of all we have the beautiful Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who did not disappoint. This elegant yet sexy dress by Oscar De La Renta is everything you could have imagined on the gorgeous actress/model. Yet although this dress is extremely tasteful, it is certainly not the most “camp”.

Naomi Campbell

Naomi Campbell, sticking to the theme with a gorgeous pink/purple feather dress by Valentino. Feathers are clearly big trend this year for the Met Gala red carpet and Campbell did not disappoint when strutting down the pink carpet.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner

Kendall and Kylie Jenner, both wearing breathtaking Versace gowns. Of course, Kylie’s signature style is always a coloured wig, and she pulls it off beautifully. The feathered dresses definitely execute the Jenner version of Camp, with their matching looks being bold but sexy.

Lady Gaga

Next up we have Lady Gaga, who certainly put on a show this year. As the co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, would you expect anything less? This is by far the perfect theme for Gaga. Dressed head to toe in 4 perfect looks by Brandon Maxwell, Gaga definitely put on a show with her vast outfit changes on the pink carpet.

Halsey

Halsey, dressed in Prabal Gurung, giving us gorgeous Wonder Woman vibes. The bright red gown certainly stood out from the crowd, and to keep to the extravert theme, big and bold gold jewellery really topped her look off.

Zendaya

Princess of the Met goes to Zendaya, who’s gown was by Tommy Hilfiger and styled by Law Roach. Her cinderella style dress gave the actress/singer a statement of an entrance, as it lit up with a magic wand. As she walked down the pink carpet, she even left a glass slipper behind! Zendaya and her team did an amazing job for this years theme.

Katy Perry

Possibly the most extravert outfit of this years Gala will have to go to Katy Perry, wearing Moschino. The inspiration for this look was clearly beauty and the beast. It is clear to see a lot of work went into creating this look for Katy Perry, the detail is incredible. Certainly the most “camp”.

Serena Williams

Last but not least, Serena Williams who definitely brought “camp” to the carpet. Her gown was by Versace and shoes by Off-White/Nike. Wearing sneakers to the met gala is a statement but Williams pulled this fashion-forward look off.
